For the Bol d’Or Mirabaud, one of the most prestigious sailing regattas in the world, we were tasked with developing a comprehensive visual identity and creative campaign that captured both the heritage of the event and the dynamic energy of the competition. The goal was to give the regatta a refreshed, iconic look that resonated with participants, audiences, and partners alike.

Concept
The concept centered on the dual forces that define the Bol d’Or: nature and competition. Sailing is a sport governed by the elements: wind, water, speed, and strategy, so the visual narrative needed to reflect both the raw power of the lake and the precision of the athletes who race on it.
Our strategy focused on creating an identity that felt:

Bold • Elegant • Clear
The result was a visual system that communicated both athletic intensity and refined visual clarity.

Artistic Approach

The artistic direction drew inspiration from the natural forces of sailing and the visual language of movement:
-
Dynamic line work and graphic rhythms that mimic wind paths and hull motion
-
A vibrant, high-contrast color palette that reads well in outdoor and broadcast environments
-
Typographic systems that balance readability with personality
-
Graphic elements referencing waves, sails, and momentum, giving the identity a sense of flow and direction
This approach created a visual language that felt both sporty and premium, capable of working across large-format signage, digital platforms, print collateral, and apparel.

Result
The identity and campaign were applied across all touchpoints of the event experience, from regatta signage and participant materials to social and broadcast elements.
The new visual system strengthened the Bol d’Or Mirabaud’s position as a premier international sailing event, boosting recognition and giving partners a modern, cohesive brand presence.
The system allowed for flexibility and scalability, remaining instantly recognizable whether seen in a marina, on an app screen, on paper, or in broadcast coverage.
